This past weekend Earl and the team traveled to West Plains Missouri and competed in the "Show-Me 100" one of the crown jewel events in dirt late model racing during the year. Earl driving the Bobby Labonte owned Mastersbilt Chassis qualified 33rd out of 79 drivers entered in the $42,000 to win event. Earl would start 6th in his heat race and would battle the front runners throughout the race and earned an impressive victory in his heat race securing a 3rd starting position for the 100-lap feature. Earl would run in the top ten throughout the feature event and moved back into to the top five after the halfway point of the race. Earl would pass Shannon Babb for the 4th position in the final laps securing a solid top five finish coming home in 4th place.
"We had a really good car all weekend but we got just a little to free in the feature. We probably went just a little too hard on left side tires that hurt as well but to get a top five finish at this event with the talent that was in the field is a good run. We would have liked to have contended for the win but we'll take a 4th place", stated Earl.
