Earl Pearson Jr. and Bobby Labonte Racing Team Finishes 3rd at Firecraker 100 at Lernerville Speedway, Heads to three Race Weekend with Lucas Oil Series
 
 
ARCHDALE, NC (July 1, 2009)- Earl Pearson Jr. and the Bobby Labonte Racing Team competed in the WoO sanctioned Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA this past weekend. While rumming the full Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tour, earl and the team have run a few selected WoO sanctioned events on off weekends from the Lucas Oil Series. Earl won the WoO sanctioned $50,000 to win Colossal 100 at Lowes Dirt Track back in April and was looking for another big win with $30,000 up for grabs to the winner.

 

Earl would enter this past weekends event using his favorite Mastersbilt Chassis that was very successful last year for the team. In the heat race Earl would have to chagre from the tail of the field after spinning out early. Earl would finish 4th in the heat and would go onto win a B-Main to transfer to the 100-lap feature event. After starting 20th Earl would find the Mastersbilt Chassis to his liking in the feature and charged to the front and finished a strong 3rd place at the finish.

 

"We had a really good car last weekend and if that last caution don't come out, we might have won. Hopefully now we can get the consistency back that we had last year and challenge for the Lucas Series Championship", stated Earl.

 

Earl and the team will travel to Ohio and Tennessee this weekend and compete in three events. On Friday night Earl will compete in a $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Muskingum County Speedway in Ohio and then travel to  another $10,000 to win Lucas Oil sanctioned event at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN on Saturday. On Sunday Earl and the team will travel to Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN for the final event of the three race weekend for another $10,000 to win feature event.
